Drop
In a glass
A splash to sink us all.
Were
You the one,
To catch us when we fall?
Tides'
Coming in
I'm barely two foot tall.
(Drowning in it all.)
Strum
The guitar
It's music to my ears.
Sing
Out so hard
You'll drive away our fears.
Laugh
At it all
It's not as it appears.
(And yet the ending nears.)
You could say
It's not today.
You'd drive us
Off a cliff,
You'd drive us all away.
Oh and yet
You won the bet.
It's not enough,
You'll rub it in,
I'll never hear the end.
Dance
In the light,
The daylight bleeds away.
Stare
At the wall,
You've nothing more to say.
Come
To our neighbourhood
You wouldn't last the day.
You would say
No not today.
As you're driving
Off a cliff,
You drive us all away.
You think
You're on the brink
And we will bend
To stop your fall
But you're the weakest link.
(Oh and yet
You won the bet.
It's all too much,
To rub it in,
I had to make it end.)
Hmm, not to sure about the last part before the brackets.
Boy, such an sad poem writer i be.
Sigh.
