Mummy come and take me home
I can’t look you in the eye
I don’t want to fall no more
I just want to fly
Sleep alights on tired wings
Exhaustion is my sigh
It’s dark and cold, so full of fear
A wandering am I
Mummy hold me in your arms
I remember them so well
Warm and strong and always there
To catch me when I yelled
Mummy I can’t hold my wings
No matter how I try
I don’t want to fall no more
I just want to fly
